The corner led 09 de Julho's Conrado Carvalho to fire away a dangerous shot which Tiago Neves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Ponta da Praia FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alexsandro de Godoi hit a great ball. Luís Fábio Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ponta da Praia FC's Tiago Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho de Almeida in the 12th minute of play. Artemio Donio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Ponta da Praia FC's Samuel Oskarbi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Samuel Oskarbi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ponta da Praia FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Samuel Oskarbi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave 09 de Julho a penalty, 23 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yuri Goiano, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ponta da Praia FC's Tiago Neves. 0-1. Artemio Donio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Humberto Alagoano came out and tried to block the shot, but Artemio Donio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Gláuber de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes 09 de Julho got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Vale. Tiago Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington França in the 44th minute of the match. Washington França scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiago Neves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Artemio Donio to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Juninho de Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiago Neves was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After 66 minutes of play, Ponta da Praia FC's Artemio Donio made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Humberto Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Ponta da Praia FC's Tiago Neves got control of the ball when Washington França tried to sneak it across the goal line. Artemio Donio might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Humberto Alagoano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artemio Donio ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiago Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho de Almeida in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juninho de Almeida in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Alagoano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Donio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th match minute, Ponta da Praia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington França in the 89th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Tiago Neves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 09 de Julho's Humberto Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Donio in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Ponta da Praia FC were awarded a corner. Alexsandro de Godoi went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ponta da Praia FC's corner Alexsandro de Godoi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Humberto Alagoano quite easily take care of the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 09 de Julho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
