The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luís Mattos got free with Jailson Camargo in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Gilmar Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lirexus's Jailson Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Lirexus from getting a goal against them. In the 55th minute Claudinho Meira managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Leandro Velloso struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Celso Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lirexus. The Lirexus players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tercado from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
