The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes Tercado got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Quirino. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belmiro Pimenta in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute, Dieguinho Félix made a precise shot to the right of Celso Tinoco. Tercado's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Dieguinho Félix notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tercado's Celso Tinoco. Celso Tinoco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. André Luís Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Juan Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gilmar Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Belmiro Pimenta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tercado's Celso Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tercado's Manuel Costa pulled a muscle in his leg after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 36 played minutes Piranhas got a freekick which was hit by Renan Magalhães. Celso Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belmiro Pimenta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Celso Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tercado's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Renan Magalhães was slow to take the kick. During this time Piranhas's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tercado's goalie and right to Gláuber Sá. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tercado's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 57thth minute of the game Belmiro Pimenta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tercado's Celso Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Tercado getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Lúcio Quirino hit a great ball. Dieguinho Félix took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Celso Tinoco. Celso Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Cesinha Prata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Celso Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Belmiro Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Piranhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belmiro Pimenta couldn't finish the play. Celso Tinoco didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Piranhas's Belmiro Pimenta shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 80th minute Belmiro Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
