Spectators: 6614 (Terracing: 5414, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Belmiro Pimenta kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Giralua F.C's goalkeeper Ernesto Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gláuber Sá during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maicon Eger succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 10th playminute. Gláuber Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Belmiro Pimenta took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto Brodel. Ernesto Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Renan Magalhães shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Ernesto Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Pimenta in the 32nd minute of the match. A collision led to Piranhas getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Cesinha Prata hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Giralua F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Félix came free, but Ernesto Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Maicon Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giralua F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Maicon Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Giralua F.C's goalkeeper Ernesto Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Pimenta in the 40th minute of play forced Giralua F.C's goalkeeper Ernesto Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durval Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Piranhas booed when Giralua F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Rosado didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Giralua F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Pimenta came free, but Ernesto Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon Eger to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Piranhas's Ernesto Brodel threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Belmiro Pimenta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Ernesto Brodel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 59 minutes, Dieguinho Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piranhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dieguinho Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Dieguinho Félix notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Giralua F.C's Ernesto Brodel. Ernesto Brodel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dieguinho Félix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Ernesto Brodel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 65 played minutes Giralua F.C got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Moura. Cesinha Prata kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Maicon Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Penha having to interfere. Dieguinho Félixs short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Ernesto Brodel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ernesto Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Pimenta, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ernesto Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Pimenta in the 89th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Giralua F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Moura to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Piranhas's Dieguinho Félix ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernesto Brodel. Ernesto Brodel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. 96 minutes into the game, Mazinho Guerra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piranhas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Giralua F.C the free kick. After 98th play minutes Belmiro Pimenta shot 1-6, a short shot which went by Ernesto Brodel and just under the crossbar into goal.
