Guga Garcias short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Kiko Correia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kiko Correia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guga Garcia's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Kiko Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guga Garcia in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd match minute, Jabaquara SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilton Damião to maneuver through the defense. Leandro Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leandro Velloso came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kiko Correia could save by the left post. When Ruperto Hever got free in front of the goal in the 48th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Jailson Camargo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jabaquara SC were furious when Can Dogo was red carded, 53 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 61 played minutes Jabaquara SC got a freekick which was hit by Breno Souto. In the 65th minute, Edson Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leandro Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lirexus fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jabaquara SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
