With a little luck, Terror Futebol Clube's João Paulo Garcia got control of the ball when João Vítor Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. João Paulo Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the game, Samuel Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Terror Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apiahy SS the free kick. After 17 played minutes Terror Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Brito. Renato Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir Ortiz in the 26th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Apiahy SS's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Ortiz came free, but Renato Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Apiahy SS booed when Terror Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Vítor Gonçalves got free with João Paulo Garcia in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Apiahy SS's Eduardo Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Paulo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Trancoso in the 37th minute of play. Eduardo Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. João Paulo Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the game, Tomé Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Terror Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apiahy SS the free kick. In the 40th minute, Tomé Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, Waldir Ortiz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Apiahy SS's Renato Sena. Renato Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Apiahy SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Terror Futebol Clube were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Vítor Gonçalves made a kick off. João Paulo Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Pitta in the 53rd minute of the match. If Eduardo Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Eduardo Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apiahy SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Vítor Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Paulo Garcia having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Pitta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Paulo Garcia was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. João Paulo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Pitta, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Terror Futebol Clube's zone, César Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Garcia came out of the goal and César Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Claudinei Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apiahy SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafael Neiva lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Apiahy SS! João Paulo Garcia came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Apiahy SS's Eduardo Pitta. But to his dismay, Eduardo Pitta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2.
