A very good chance. In the 18thth minute of the game Jorge Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Içara FC's Jano Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Moisés de Moraes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jano Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Diniz in the 21st minute of play. Afonsinho de Sousa hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Moisés de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jano Nascimento having to interfere. When Ribeirão Preto FC's Duarte Diniz in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Moisés de Moraes scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jano Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, João Adolfo Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Içara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otávio Alves made a kick off. Jano Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés de Moraes in the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Alves in the 56th minute of play forced Ribeirão Preto FC's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 played minutes Ribeirão Preto FC got a freekick which was hit by Moisés de Moraes. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Adolfo Santos during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Içara FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Afonsinho de Sousa hit a great ball. Jorge Luz charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ribeirão Preto FC's Luís Eduardo Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Alves in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Ribeirão Preto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Luz to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes, Içara FC's Diamantino Jacinto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Zonta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Diamantino Jacinto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Eduardo Zonta having to make a save. The Içara FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ribeirão Preto FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ribeirão Preto FC.
