The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otávio Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giovani Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Tinoco having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Içara FC's Otávio Alves in the 57th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Celso Tinoco was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tercado through an amazing save. 73 minutes into the match, Içara FC's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Mattos came free, but Jano Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Duarte in the 83rd minute of play forced Içara FC's goalkeeper Jano Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If André Luís Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jano Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute André Luís Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Tinoco having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Içara FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
