Spectators: 7399 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 147) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guga Garcia kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Lirexus got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Simão. Jailson Camargo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguinho Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Benjamim Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jailson Camargo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieguinho Félix in the 15th minute of play. A hard shot 17 in the game by Leandro Velloso from a close distance when the talented Juan Penha managed to make a qualified save. Piranhas's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Piranhas's zone, Leandro Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Penha came out of the goal and Leandro Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jailson Camargo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Claudinho Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belmiro Pimenta charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Pimenta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Belmiro Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Guga Garcia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Piranhas's Juan Penha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Leandro Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Lirexus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Velloso couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belmiro Pimenta made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Gláuber Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Piranhas and the Lirexus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Piranhas got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Sá. If Leandro Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gláuber Sá was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 59 minutes had been played. A collision led to Piranhas getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Gláuber Sá hit a great ball. When Renan Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piranhas's protests and gave Renan Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Piranhas's Renan Magalhães got a free kick in the 64th minute. Juan Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Velloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Belmiro Pimenta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dieguinho Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Camargo having to interfere. Cesinha Prata hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Claudinho Meira hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Renan Magalhães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lirexus's Jailson Camargo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Lirexus from getting a goal against them. Lirexus's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
