After having played for 46 minutes, Christian Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apiahy SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christian Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinei Silva to strike the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Apiahy SS's Renato Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Mesquita in the 55th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Içara FC got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Arantes. In the 60th minute of the match, Rafael Neiva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jano Nascimento saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Renato Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otávio Alves in the 63rd minute of the match. Eduardo Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The excitement rose when Apiahy SS's Vivaldo Furlan after 82 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Içara FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-3. If Eduardo Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eduardo Pitta struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jano Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apiahy SS. Içara FC's Jano Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Içara FC from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Apiahy SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Içara FC.
