Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mauro Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlinhos Donatello made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Mauro Cabral sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Mauro Cabral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlinhos Donatello was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Carlinhos Donatello was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Corinthians Esporte Clube's Carlinhos Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafa Vieira in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Guerrilha got a freekick which was hit by Rafa Vieira. Rafa Vieira got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Corinthians Esporte Clube booed when Guerrilha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafa Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur do Valle in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Cabral to make the kick off. 2-1 became the score in the 53rd minute when Artur do Valle elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Mauro Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerrilha's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Donatello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artur do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guerrilha's Mauro Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Nando Brodel sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ramiro de Sousa threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Nando Brodel this time. In the 82nd match minute, Guerrilha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Vander to maneuver through the defense. Artur do Valle received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramiro de Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Artur do Valle slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 85th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
