Automação FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lauro Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience was convinced that Duarte de Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilton Saldanha was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Jeremias Mendes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 73 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Erik Valland right hand side. Deivid Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Erik Valland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte de Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Automação FC's Duarte de Alcântara in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anajateua's goalie prevented a goal. Nilton Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilton Saldanha came out of the goal and Duarte de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duarte de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Automação FC's Duarte de Alcântara got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
