In the 48th minute of the match, Elano Motta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carlinhos Donatello saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Nando Brodel, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chuvero F.C's zone, Artur do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emanuel Cunha came out of the goal and Artur do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Corinthians Esporte Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
