Reinaldo Furlan made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Mauro Cabral sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rdth minute of the game Rômulo Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guerrilha's Ramiro de Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 24 minutes of play, Xandy FC's Josué Oliveira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiro de Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Júlio Paraibano during the 28th minute. After the first half Xandy FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Cauan Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mauro Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Guerrilha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Cabral couldn't finish the play. Rômulo Pereira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Ramiro de Sousa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 64th minute Rômulo Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guerrilha's Ramiro de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Oliveira in the 65th minute of play. Rômulo Pereira in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ramiro de Sousa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Josué Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guerrilha! The crowd rose to their feet as Josué Oliveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramiro de Sousa. That made the score 0-5 in the 83 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Josué Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xandy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Josué Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro de Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rômulo Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Francisco Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Sousa having to interfere. Rômulo Pereiras short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Ramiro de Sousa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Josué Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Ramiro de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xandy FC. When the final whistle sounded Xandy FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guerrilha.
