Roda jc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerrilha the free kick. A collision led to Roda jc getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Rubinho das Neves hit a great ball. In the 5th minute of the match Nilmar de Salles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rubens Veiga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Júlio Paraibano fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guerrilha's protests and gave Júlio Paraibano a yellow card for diving instead. Luan Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Cabral struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Rubens Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerrilha. Rubens Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann in the 13th minute of play. Luan Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Sousa having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Marcus Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luan Vander in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro de Sousa saved Guerrilha from getting behind. In the 31st minute Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Guerrilha's Mauro Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rubens Veiga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Cabral in the 44th minute of play forced Roda jc's goalkeeper Rubens Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Guerrilha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute of the match Luís Jacinto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rubens Veiga skillfully saved the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Tinoco in the 52nd minute of play forced Guerrilha's goalkeeper Ramiro de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Nilmar de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramiro de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Vander in the 57th minute of play. Roda jc's Rubens Veiga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Roda jc from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Júlio Paraibano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Luan Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Sousa having to interfere. Guerrilha's Ramiro de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luan Vander in the 79th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rubens Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jonathan Tinoco fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roda jc's protests and gave Jonathan Tinoco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Nilmar de Salles sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Roda jc's Rubens Veiga didn't even have to move. Rubens Veiga made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Mauro Cabral sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Luiz Fabiano Hoffmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro de Sousa having to interfere. The Roda jc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guerrilha's performance. The match ended with a win for Guerrilha.
