The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafinha Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ronaldão Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rafinha Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Rafinha Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute, Ricardinho Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Guilherme Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ricardinho Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafinha Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldão Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Agnaldo de Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Utopia Futebol Clube's Ronaldão Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Utopia Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Basílio do Vale hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Agnaldo de Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldão Trigo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Veloso in the 43rd minute of play forced Ossuna's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldão Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ossuna's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Veloso came free, but Luís Guilherme Paulista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agnaldo de Souza was the one to do the kick off. Luís Guilherme Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson Castro in the 51st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Agnaldo de Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ronaldão Trigo. That made the score 0-2 in the 54 minute of play. After 57 played minutes Utopia Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Donato. Ricardinho Veloso took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Guilherme Paulista. Luís Guilherme Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ossuna's zone, Ricardinho Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Paulista came out of the goal and Ricardinho Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardinho Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Wilson Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Giovanni de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ossuna's protests and gave Giovanni de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Agnaldo de Souzas short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Ronaldão Trigo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ronaldão Trigo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafinha Nascimento in the 78th minute. Giovanni de Barros was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 82 minutes into the match, Utopia Futebol Clube's Magno Fonseca broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Magno Fonseca hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ossuna had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
