Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Léo Salgado started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Osvaldinho Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unahy SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With an all-out effort, Unahy SS's Cássio Rossi threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusébio Marques, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Aguiar took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Cássio Rossi to make any attempt to save it. Eusébio Marques hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Válbson Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dênis Borges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Saldanha in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Aguiar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Cássio Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Carlos Eduardo Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unahy SS's protests and gave Carlos Eduardo Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Unahy SS getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Aguiar hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Léo Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Betim MZC's Cássio Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Salgado in the 30th minute of play. Betim MZC's Cássio Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Betim MZC from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute of the match Eriberto Brodel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dênis Borges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Eduardo Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Cássio Rossi made a huge save. Edgard Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dênis Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válbson Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Eduardo Aguiar in the 51st minute of play forced Betim MZC's goalkeeper Cássio Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Betim MZC defense, Léo Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio Rossi. The Betim MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio Rossi should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Betim MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Eduardo Aguiar came free, but Cássio Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Betim MZC's zone, Osvaldinho Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio Rossi came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Betim MZC's Eriberto Brodel got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jorginho Salles took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cássio Rossi. Betim MZC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cássio Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Aguiar in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Léo Salgado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Rossi was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Cássio Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Lauro Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Betim MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Salgado came free, but Cássio Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Oliveira in the 83rd minute of play forced Betim MZC's goalkeeper Cássio Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Unahy SS's Léo Salgado made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cássio Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Válbson Saldanha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Dênis Borges made a huge save. Unahy SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
