Ronaldão Trigo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 9 played minutes Utopia Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Prado. 11 minutes into the game, Utopia Futebol Clube's Wilson Castro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Renatinho Ferraz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Wilson Castros short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Renatinho Ferraz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ronaldão Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Utopia Futebol Clube's Ronaldão Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Faria in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Utopia Futebol Clube's Basílio do Vale got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ricardinho Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renatinho Ferraz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Veloso in the 43rd minute of play forced CRIZEIRO-DF's goalkeeper Renatinho Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renatinho Ferraz made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Wilson Castro sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, CRIZEIRO-DF's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardinho Veloso came free, but Renatinho Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juarês Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronaldão Trigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Juarês Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Trigo having to interfere. When Magno Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Utopia Futebol Clube's protests and gave Magno Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. Magno Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Hernani Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Hernani Rocha fired away a sharp free kick straight at the goal. It looked like it might be really tough for the goalie to handle, but the shot went into the stands to the left of Ronaldão Trigo. In the 56th match minute, Utopia Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Prado to maneuver through the defense. Juarês Farias short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Ronaldão Trigo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Utopia Futebol Clube's Ricardinho Veloso got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Utopia Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Júlio Prado hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Prado in the 72nd minute of play forced CRIZEIRO-DF's goalkeeper Renatinho Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernani Rocha in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldão Trigo saved Utopia Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Utopia Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ronaldão Trigo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Renatinho Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CRIZEIRO-DF's zone, Ricardinho Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renatinho Ferraz came out of the goal and Ricardinho Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Utopia Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu da Cunha came free, but Ronaldão Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 82 played minutes Utopia Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Donato. If Juarês Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ronaldão Trigo made a huge save. When Juarês Faria came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the CRIZEIRO-DF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juarês Faria couldn't finish the play. Hernani Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Trigo having to interfere. CRIZEIRO-DF were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Utopia Futebol Clube to leave the ground with a draw.
