The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Valadares in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Válbson Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute Edgard Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fabiano Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Betim MZC booed when PaiN Gaming was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. 33 minutes into the game, Frank Valadares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cássio Rossi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bebeto Barros hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Cássio Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Frank Valadares sped through Betim MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cássio Rossi. PaiN Gaming's Luiz Fabiano Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save PaiN Gaming from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Válbson Saldanha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Válbson Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. PaiN Gaming's Luiz Fabiano Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Simões in the 63rd minute of play. Alfredo Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Válbson Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Válbson Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabinho Fernandes hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. A collision led to Betim MZC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Válbson Saldanha hit a great ball. Cássio Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Valadares in the 86th minute. Frank Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cássio Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Betim MZC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching PaiN Gaming's performance. The match ended with a win for PaiN Gaming.
