The tension between the Utopia Futebol Clube and the Unahy SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ronaldão Trigo came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlos Eduardo Aguiar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Léo Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unahy SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Léo Salgado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronaldão Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sandrinho Donato got his second yellow card in the match during the 35th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Unahy SS booed when Utopia Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldão Trigo was a little too slow when Léo Salgado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 40th minute, Ricardinho Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Léo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardinho Veloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldão Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Carlos Eduardo Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Unahy SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Eduardo Aguiar couldn't finish the play.
