Juarês Faria struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Cássio Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CRIZEIRO-DF. Bebeto Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juarês Faria in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cássio Rossi saved Betim MZC from getting behind. In the 32ndth minute of the game Juarês Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Betim MZC's Cássio Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cafu da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juarês Faria in the 37th minute of play forced Betim MZC's goalkeeper Cássio Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Betim MZC's Cássio Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cafu da Cunha in the 40th minute of play. Romário de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romário de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to CRIZEIRO-DF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Romário de Queiroz hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juarês Faria to make the kick off. Cássio Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juarês Faria in the 53rd minute. Juarês Faria hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 60 minutes of play, CRIZEIRO-DF's Juarês Faria made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cássio Rossi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute Zé Paulo Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Juarês Faria could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Cássio Rossi however easily saved by the left post. Cássio Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Betim MZC's Edgard Simões got a free kick in the 79th minute. Juarês Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cássio Rossi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 83rd match minute, Betim MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th play minute Juarês Faria came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cássio Rossi. 3-3. Cássio Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário de Queiroz in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, Betim MZC's Bebeto Barros got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Simões in the 92nd minute of play forced CRIZEIRO-DF's goalkeeper Renatinho Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
