Iuri Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Augusto Novaes during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Oncas SC booed when Tapecu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Tapecu getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Robinho Hoffmann hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Lucas Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oncas SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iuri Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christiano Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué da Fonseca in the 30th minute of play forced Tapecu's goalkeeper Iuri Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iuri Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josué da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Lucas Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Iuri Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes of play Tapecu's Robinho Hoffmann was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Josué da Fonseca made a kick off. Christiano Neiva's late challenge caught a Oncas SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christiano Neiva helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tapecu getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Christiano Neiva hit a great ball. A hard shot by Raúl Ferreira from long distance, 61 minutes into the match, got Iuri Godoi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Josué da Fonseca received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iuri Godoi came out and tried to block the shot, but Josué da Fonseca slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué da Fonseca in the 69th minute of play forced Tapecu's goalkeeper Iuri Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Josué da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Oncas SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. After having played for 82 minutes, Josué da Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oncas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué da Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lucas Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Tapecu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lucas Velasco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cláudio Arantes hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Oncas SC's goalkeeper Luís Paulo de Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Oncas SC's Cláudio Arantes got a free kick in the 95th minute.
