The crowd rose to their feet as Dattebayo F.C.'s Genílson Amorim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michel Severo. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. After 20 minutes, Joélson Hermes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Imortal Tricolor Gaúcho and the Dattebayo F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Imortal Tricolor Gaúcho got a freekick which was hit by Joélson Hermes. When Dedê Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Dattebayo F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Paraibano couldn't finish the play. Michel Severo made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Dedê Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Imortal Tricolor Gaúcho booed when Dattebayo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Frédson Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frédson Moura was the one to do the kick off. Otávio Braga charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Otávio Braga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee gave Dattebayo F.C. a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Allan Gaúcho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Imortal Tricolor Gaúcho's Michel Severo. 3-0. After having played for 96 minutes, Frédson Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imortal Tricolor Gaúcho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frédson Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Moura in the 98th minute of play forced Dattebayo F.C.'s goalkeeper Cléber Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
