After 4 minutes, Carlinhos de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tapecu and the Júpiter FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Tapecu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Júpiter FC:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Júpiter FC. Marcel Corrêa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iuri Godoi. 0-1. Lucas Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Iuri Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tapecu's Iuri Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Araújo in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Tapecu got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Hoffmann. If Lucas Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Tapecu's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Araújo came free, but Iuri Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iuri Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Guimarães in the 18th minute of play. Flávio Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Afonsinho Arósio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flávio Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Gerber in the 53rd minute of play forced Júpiter FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júpiter FC's Lucas Guimarães got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iuri Godoi having to interfere. Jacinto Araújo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Iuri Godoi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Flávio Gerber might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flávio Gerber ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Guimarães in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iuri Godoi saved Tapecu from getting behind. 82 minutes into the game, Christiano Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tapecu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Júpiter FC the free kick. A collision led to Tapecu getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Christiano Neiva hit a great ball. Marcel Corrêa, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 85th minute, Lucas Guimarães fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iuri Godoi, passed just outside the right post. Erasmo Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Neiva in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Júpiter FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
