Spectators: 7222 (Terracing: 5418, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Flávio Gerber started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Robinho Hoffmann hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Wilian Mazza sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iuri Godoi skillfully saved the ball. In the 8th minute Flávio Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonsinho Arósio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Centauros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo da Rocha to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Gerber in the 18th minute of play forced Centauros's goalkeeper Miguel Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flávio Gerber in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Barbosa saved Centauros from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Centauros's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Gerber came free, but Miguel Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes of play Centauros's Diogo da Rocha was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Tapecu's Carlinhos de Sena couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Centauros. After a rather tough play, Centauros's Alan Meireles got a free kick in the 27th minute. Horácio Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alan Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Horácio Santana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th match minute, Tapecu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Flávio Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Afonsinho Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Horácio Santana was the one to do the kick off. Horácio Santana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Iuri Godoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Miguel Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Gerber in the 58th minute of play. Afonsinho Arósio struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Miguel Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tapecu. Flávio Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horácio Santana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Iuri Godoi made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Tapecu's Marcelo Rosa got a free kick in the 70th minute. Horácio Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Iuri Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Juninho Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute, Flávio Gerber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tapecu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Flávio Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Centauros's Horácio Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tapecu fully deserved thier win.
