Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sérgio Netto to make the kick off. OFF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdir Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 88th minute Sérgio Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ari Fingkreuw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Galáctico FC's Valdir Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. André Luís Toscano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2.
