After having played for 4 minutes, Rogério Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 7 played minutes, Raso SS's Laércio Camargo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cafu Koehler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Raso SS reached it. In the 8th minute, Rogério Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Koehler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cafu Koehler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Amaral in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Raso SS's Cesinha Freitas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cafu Koehler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cesinha Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Koehler having to interfere. Dráusio Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Loyola made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 33rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Zeca Souto would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 36 played minutes Raso SS got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio Mota. Cafu Koehler didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Raso SS's Ramiro Secco shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dráusio Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Cafu Koehler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesinha Freitas in the 52nd minute. A.E. Velo Clube's Dráusio Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Dráusio Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeca Souto was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Zeca Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Loyola in the 58th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Rogério Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cafu Koehler, passed just outside the right post. Raso SS's Zeca Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráusio Duarte in the 78th minute of play. Cesinha Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute of the match Inácio Hoffmann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cafu Koehler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind A.E. Velo Clube's goalkeeper Cafu Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dráusio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Zeca Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olavo Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to A.E. Velo Clube getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alan Torres hit a great ball.
