Spectators: 6860 (Terracing: 5070, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 130) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eusébio Bueno took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, FC. Leader's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Lara came free, but Donato Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Pombal took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Capixaba. Donato Capixaba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eliseu Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Cícero Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fottoni's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cícero Lara came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Fottoni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cícero Lara couldn't finish the play. Maurício Diniz was a little too slow when Eusébio Bueno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-1. Eusébio Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Maurício Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, FC. Leader was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeu Cosme to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute Eliseu Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseu Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Donato Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donato Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseu Corrêa in the 33rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Vianna during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th minute, Jairo da Silveira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC. Leader's Donato Capixaba didn't even have to move. Eusébio Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Diniz having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Eliseu Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. Cícero Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Donato Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 63 in the game by Cícero Lara from a close distance when the talented Donato Capixaba managed to make a qualified save. FC. Leader's players were relieved. Eusébio Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 played minutes Fottoni got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Britto. If Faustão Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fottoni's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
