But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio Prado couldn't finish the play. João Vítor Correia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If João Vítor Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute João Vítor Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Mecazika EC got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Mota. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Manfredo Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. clube de fut pará's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 41 minutes of play, clube de fut pará's João Vítor Neto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Sá was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Mecazika EC defense, João Vítor Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simão Sá. The Mecazika EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simão Sá should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Vítor Correia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, clube de fut pará's Manfredo Lara got a free kick in the 51st minute. João Vítor Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Vítor Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
