Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eliseu Corrêa started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Abel Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 played minutes Inter Valqueire got a freekick which was hit by Donato Rodrigues. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cícero Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fottoni's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cary Fortin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 10 played minutes Inter Valqueire got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Bezerra. Jairo da Silveira got in the 11th minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Cary Fortin and thus it was 1-0. In the 17th match minute, Inter Valqueire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Paulo Britto to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Inter Valqueire's Ronaldinho Gol got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 26 played minutes Inter Valqueire got a freekick which was hit by Luizão Macedo. In the 28th minute, Cícero Lara fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Inter Valqueire's zone, Valdir Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cary Fortin came out of the goal and Valdir Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Inter Valqueire's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseu Corrêa came free, but Cary Fortin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Eurico da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36th minute, Eliseu Corrêa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Cary Fortin, passed just outside the right post. If Donato Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 48thth minute of the game Eurico da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fottoni's Maurício Diniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Mello to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marcelo Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fottoni's goalkeeper Maurício Diniz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eurico da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Eliseu Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fottoni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Fottoni fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Fottoni's Eliseu Corrêa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 74th minute, Valdir Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donato Rodrigues during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fottoni booed when Inter Valqueire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benedito Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Cícero Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cary Fortin was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Eurico da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Diniz having to interfere. Valdir Pombal hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Maurício Diniz made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Eurico da Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Inter Valqueire fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! Fottoni were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Inter Valqueire for a fine match.
