Spectators: 7218 (Terracing: 5415, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guga do Nascimento kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Sena got free with Zé Pedro Arce in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Pedro Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Arce having to interfere. Sebastião Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar do Nascimento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute Sebastião Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar do Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes, Flávio Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Name and the Datas SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Datas SS booed when New Name was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flávio Arósio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Pedro Arce stood somewhat misplaced when Zé Pedro Sena came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 18 minute. If Luiz Guilherme Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 24 minutes, Rogério Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Name and the Datas SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31stth minute of the game Luiz Guilherme Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Name's Valdemar do Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valdemar do Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valdemar do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Sebastião Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastião Couto to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Datas SS's Sebastião Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar do Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guga do Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Pedro Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guga do Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Guilherme Gaúcho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdemar do Nascimento having to make a save. In the 67th minute, Guga do Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Name fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 74 minutes into the match, New Name's goalkeeper Valdemar do Nascimento had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Guilherme Gaúcho. Guga do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Zé Pedro Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Datas SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Toscano to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Datas SS's zone, Guga do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Arce came out of the goal and Guga do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the game, Felipe Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Datas SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Name the free kick. After a rather tough play, Datas SS's Felipe Marquez got a free kick in the 94th minute. New Name were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Datas SS for a fine match.
