Cary Fortin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 41 minutes, Amadeu Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomás Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomás Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Abel Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eurico da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Lucas Meira took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Cary Fortin to make any attempt to save it.
