Spectators: 7363 (Terracing: 5523, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Moisés Martins made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Moisés Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Calango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moisés Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simão Sá came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Calango's Zé de Senna. But to his dismay, Zé de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 11th minute, EC Calango's Chico Godoi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Simão Sá. Simão Sá yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Dagoberto Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovânio Prado in the 16th minute of the match. Dagoberto Penha came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Mecazika EC's Teodoro da Silva. But to his dismay, Teodoro da Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 21st match minute, Mecazika EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Josué Alvarenga hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Simão Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Martins in the 24th minute of play. Dagoberto Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Percival Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Sá having to interfere. EC Calango's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zé de Senna in the 41st minute. The corner led EC Calango's Zé de Senna to fire away a dangerous shot which Simão Sá despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Moisés Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simão Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moisés Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Mecazika EC's zone, Zé de Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Sá came out of the goal and Zé de Senna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Geovânio Prado made the kick off in the second half. When Percival Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the EC Calango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percival Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Simão Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moisés Martins's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Simão Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percival Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Ricardinho Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Gonçalo Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Calango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Neiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mecazika EC's Simão Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Martins in the 73rd minute of play. Dagoberto Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Fabiano Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moisés Martins took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simão Sá. Simão Sá dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé de Senna in the 85th minute of play forced Mecazika EC's goalkeeper Simão Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geovânio Prado hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Teodoro da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mecazika EC and the EC Calango players grew even worse after the yellow card.
