The clube de fut pará fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adalberto Moreira should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Fottoni getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Eliseu Cruz hit a great ball. Manfredo Lara missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 8 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Maurício Diniz right hand side. Cícero Laras short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Adalberto Moreira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 12th minute João Vítor Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurício Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fottoni's Eliseu Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If João Vítor Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cícero Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Adalberto Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandrinho Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Jairo da Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adalberto Moreira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adalberto Moreira made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Cícero Lara sent off a good shot on target. Cícero Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, João Vítor Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The clube de fut pará fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Maurício Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Vítor Neto in the 53rd minute. Adalberto Moreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fottoni's Maurício Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Correia in the 58th minute of play. Maurício Diniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Vítor Neto in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Fottoni's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Vítor Correia fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Eliseu Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Adalberto Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Cícero Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fottoni's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurício Diniz made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when João Vítor Neto sent off a good shot on target. In the 80thth minute of the game Cícero Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but clube de fut pará's Adalberto Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Vítor Neto got free with Maurício Diniz in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir Pombal in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Moreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Vítor Neto's late challenge caught a Fottoni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Vítor Neto helped the player get up and apologised. João Vítor Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Eliseu Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Adalberto Moreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
