Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) Giga Mix F.C's Elder Machado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Elder Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Mello in the 9th minute of play forced Giga Mix F.C's goalkeeper Ricardo Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Mazza hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Giga Mix F.C's zone, Abel Mello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Pinheiro came out of the goal and Abel Mello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico da Fonseca in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Pinheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giga Mix F.C's Ricardo Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Mello in the 20th minute of play. Amadeu Bezerra took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Pinheiro. Ricardo Pinheiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 27 minutes, Abel Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Valqueire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Pinheiro having to interfere. A collision led to Giga Mix F.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Clemente Azevedo hit a great ball. Gerson Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cary Fortin having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Inter Valqueire's Eurico da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st minute of the match Luizão Macedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Pinheiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 44 minutes of play, Inter Valqueire's Abel Mello made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Pinheiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Giga Mix F.C defense, Amadeu Bezerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Pinheiro. The Giga Mix F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Mello was the one to do the kick off. Eliézer Medeiros's late challenge caught a Inter Valqueire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliézer Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute Abel Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurico da Fonseca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Ricardo Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amadeu Bezerra's late challenge caught a Giga Mix F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Inter Valqueire's Amadeu Bezerra got a free kick in the 69th minute. Ricardo Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Mello in the 74th minute of the match. Cary Fortin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elder Machado in the 75th minute of play. Elder Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Mello in the 90th minute of play forced Giga Mix F.C's goalkeeper Ricardo Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Giga Mix F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter Valqueire were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
