Valdemar do Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EC Calango. In the 79th match minute, EC Calango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Machado to maneuver through the defense. Moisés Martins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Valdemar do Nascimento made a huge save. Zé de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar do Nascimento having to interfere. Valdemar do Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Zé de Senna sent off a good shot on target. Rony Barreto's late challenge caught a EC Calango's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rony Barreto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Rony Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. EC Calango's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
