In the 37th match minute, Luisiania EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Maciel to maneuver through the defense. If Enéas das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitinho de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaltino Pena in the 44th minute of the match. Vitinho de Sousa came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Arapiraca FC's Víktor Marquez. But to his dismay, Víktor Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Isaltino Pena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Orlando Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Luisiania EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Garcia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ricardinho Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arapiraca FC's protests and gave Ricardinho Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Arapiraca FC got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho Amaral. Enéas das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Mandrak having to interfere. Arapiraca FC's Gilson Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Arapiraca FC from getting a goal against them. Arapiraca FC's Gilson Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas das Neves in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Luisiania EC's goal looked a bit too open when Víktor Marquez came free, but Vitinho de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Arapiraca FC's Raimundo Nóbrega got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The supporters of Luisiania EC booed when Arapiraca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes, Dalmo Moreno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luisiania EC and the Arapiraca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arapiraca FC booed when Luisiania EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmo Moreno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vitinho de Sousa. Luisiania EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute, Enéas das Neves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gilson Mandrak, passed just outside the right post. Enéas das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Mandrak having to interfere. Luisiania EC's Orlando Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Víktor Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Arapiraca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Marquez couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arapiraca FC had won after a very even match.
