San Lorenzo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Isaltino Pena was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Víktor Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elder Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Pena in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Arapiraca FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Simão Trevisan hit a great ball. After 26 minutes of play, Arapiraca FC's Isaltino Pena made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elder Cabral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Víktor Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Elder Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance for a goal. 35 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Elder Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Víktor Marquez. Serginho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for San Lorenzo!

After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Víktor Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elder Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the match, Isaltino Pena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elder Cabral. San Lorenzo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaltino Pena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Arapiraca FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
