Glauco Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Marquez in the 38th minute of the match. Glauco Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaltino Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When Alberto Netto fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avanzzeira F.C's protests and gave Alberto Netto a yellow card for diving instead. With an all-out effort, Arapiraca FC's Glauco Tasso threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isaltino Pena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Serginho Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Víktor Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Tasso having to interfere. Isaltino Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Víktor Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Víktor Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 91 minutes, Isaltino Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arapiraca FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaltino Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kauan Recife was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Arapiraca FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kauan Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glauco Tasso having to interfere. When the match was over Arapiraca FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Avanzzeira F.C throughout the match.
