The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Fabrício Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elder Cabral was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. If Richard Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Richard Gomes, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 7 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Elder Cabral was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Henry FC's Richard Gomes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elder Cabral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hudson Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Elder Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrício Paraíba in the 26th minute of the match. Elder Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson Faria in the 27th minute of play. Elder Cabral came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Henry FC's Richard Gomes. But to his dismay, Richard Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 32nd minute Hudson Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Richard Gomes made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. San Lorenzo's Elder Cabral tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Valdo Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Henry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elder Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry FC's Richard Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Elder Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Richard Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hudson Faria in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elder Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Severino Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hudson Faria made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Hudson Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Henry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hudson Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Richard Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder Cabral came out of the goal and Richard Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. Richard Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The San Lorenzo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Henry FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
