The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hudson Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hudson Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 8th minute Hudson Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glauco Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hudson Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glauco Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Gomes in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Avanzzeira F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avanzzeira F.C's goalkeeper Glauco Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the game, Hudson Faria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Glauco Tasso. Hudson Faria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Alberto Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After taking down the ball on Henry FC's corner Hudson Faria fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Glauco Tasso quite easily take care of the ball. Hudson Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabrício Paraíba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glauco Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Glauco Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Richard Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avanzzeira F.C's goalkeeper Glauco Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hudson Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Glauco Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Avanzzeira F.C's goalkeeper Glauco Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Paraíba. After a defensive mix-up in Avanzzeira F.C's zone, Richard Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glauco Tasso came out of the goal and Richard Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Fabrício Paraíba took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Glauco Tasso. Glauco Tasso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Glauco Tasso came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Henry FC's Hudson Faria. But to his dismay, Hudson Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When Henry FC's Hudson Faria in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Avanzzeira F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The Henry FC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Henry FC's Hudson Faria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avanzzeira F.C's goalkeeper Glauco Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Henry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amauri Cearense came free, but Zacarias Elivareo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Avanzzeira F.C's goalie and right to Jânio de Lara. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Avanzzeira F.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 74th minute, Richard Gomes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Richard Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severino Marques blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Glauco Tasso having to make a save. Noel Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Hudson Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Glauco Tasso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Noel Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Henry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Glauco Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. Fabrício Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Henry FC were the better team. Henry FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
