When Fabrício Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Henry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrício Paraíba couldn't finish the play. Biologistas's Caetano Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Faria in the 8th minute of play. Richard Gomes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Caetano Batista having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Richard Gomes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Biologistas's Caetano Batista. Caetano Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caetano Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Zacarias Elivareo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zacarias Elivareo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Aparecido in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Hudson Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hudson Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caetano Batista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Richard Gomes came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Henry FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Gomes couldn't finish the play. Valdo Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Batista having to interfere. After the first half Henry FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sandro Aparecido made the kick off in the second half. Hudson Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caetano Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hudson Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Noel Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caetano Batista was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Richard Gomes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 61 minute of play. If Richard Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caetano Batista came out of the goal and Fabrício Paraíba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolas Brasil hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Richard Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Henry FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caetano Batista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdo Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Hudson Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
