Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5415, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 120) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Matías Ortiz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, PICA-PAU AMORA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After 6 minutes, Matías Ortiz made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Gilson Silva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Gilson Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Dionísio in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in MAVERIK's zone, Oswaldo Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Brito came out of the goal and Oswaldo Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gilson Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Geraldo Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PICA-PAU AMORA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35th minute, PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Geraldo Mello ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilberto Brito. Gilberto Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Geraldo Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geraldo Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geraldo Mello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geraldo Mello hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. If Geraldo Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Thomás Sarmento fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MAVERIK's protests and gave Thomás Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in MAVERIK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Gilberto Brito, was totally fooled by PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Jefferson Silva, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Gilson Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Ortiz in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Matías Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, PICA-PAU AMORA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Veiga in the 61st minute of play. Sílvio Dionísio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Silva having to interfere. Gilberto Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Geraldo Mello notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of MAVERIK's Gilberto Brito. Gilberto Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Geraldo Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gilberto Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Ortiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Tiaguinho Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oswaldo Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geraldo Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Brito having to interfere. MAVERIK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
