Sandro Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Sandro Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Gonçalves got free with Elder Cabral in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Biologistas's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Matos came free, but Caetano Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Batista came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by San Lorenzo's Egídio Arósio. But to his dismay, Egídio Arósio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Egídio Arósio took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caetano Batista. Caetano Batista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Caetano Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Arósio in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Serginho Matos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Batista. Biologistas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serginho Matos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After taking down the ball on San Lorenzo's corner André Luiz Amaral fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Caetano Batista quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeu Capixaba in the 94th minute of play forced Biologistas's goalkeeper Caetano Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Sandro Aparecido took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Elder Cabral to make any attempt to save it. The Biologistas players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented San Lorenzo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
