The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serginho Matos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilson Mandrak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. San Lorenzo's Elder Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo from getting a goal against them. Douglas Paiva charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Douglas Paiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Arapiraca FC's Gilson Mandrak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Arósio in the 81st minute of play. Elder Cabral made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Víktor Marquez sent off a good shot on target. Gilson Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isaltino Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Elder Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Víktor Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Elder Cabral made a huge save. Serginho Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Mandrak having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
