SAO PAULO's Marquinhos Dracena managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Miguel Brodel in the 47 minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. Agnaldo Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Caetano Galvão made a huge save. 58 minutes into the game, Sandrinho Loureiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caetano Galvão. Sandrinho Loureiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Cássio Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. André Luís Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
