After 5th play minutes Marcelinho Cardoso shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Rafa Vinhas and just under the crossbar into goal. Atlético Lucena FC made a substitution. Luisinho Ribeiro replaced Ruy Quadros. After 19 played minutes StoneHorns Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Meirelles. Marcelinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Rafa Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético Lucena FC's Luisinho Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Marcelinho Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Lucena FC's Vítor Tasso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafa Vinhas. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. In the 31st minute, Rodrigo Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waldir da Silva hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Meirelles in the 36th minute of play forced StoneHorns Soccer Club's goalkeeper Rafa Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Rosa in the 41st minute of play forced Atlético Lucena FC's goalkeeper Luizinho Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Waldir da Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luizinho Negri. Atlético Lucena FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir da Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Waldir da Silva made a kick off. Vítor Tasso struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Rafa Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Lucena FC. Rafa Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Cardoso in the 53rd minute of play. Rodrigo Leite hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 55th match minute, Atlético Lucena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Eduardo Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Marcelinho Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafa Vinhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Cardoso in the 67th minute of play forced StoneHorns Soccer Club's goalkeeper Rafa Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to StoneHorns Soccer Club getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Fernando Hoffmann hit a great ball. Lúcio Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Luizinho Negri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Luisão Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Cardoso in the 79th minute of play forced StoneHorns Soccer Club's goalkeeper Rafa Vinhas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luizinho Negri. Chants of StoneHorns Soccer Club echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Atlético Lucena FC had held the ball for most of the match.
