The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelinho Cardoso in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacinto Sá saved Landi from getting behind. In the 9th minute, Atlético Lucena FC's Marcelinho Cardoso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jacinto Sá. Jacinto Sá yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Jacinto Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelinho Cardoso in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Vítor Tasso fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Marcelinho Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Jacinto Sá made a huge save. Silvinho Lira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Jacinto Sá made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Marcelinho Cardoso sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Landi's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Meirelles came free, but Jacinto Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Vides hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Silvinho Lira fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Landi's protests and gave Silvinho Lira a yellow card for diving instead. 32 minutes into the match, Landi's goalkeeper Jacinto Sá had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelinho Cardoso. The supporters of Atlético Lucena FC booed when Landi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Marcelinho Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Lucena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelinho Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelinho Cardoso got free with Jacinto Sá in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd match minute, Landi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Vides to maneuver through the defense. Marcelinho Cardoso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Sá having to make a save. Marcelinho Cardoso came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jacinto Sá could save by the left post. Marcelinho Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Jacinto Sá made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelinho Cardoso made a kick off. Silvinho Lira hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, Landi's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Cardoso came free, but Jacinto Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Cardoso in the 53rd minute of play forced Landi's goalkeeper Jacinto Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacinto Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelinho Cardoso went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Jacinto Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Cardoso in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelinho Cardoso in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luisão Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute, Luisão Meirelles made a precise shot to the right of Jacinto Sá. Landi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Vítor Tasso scored 5-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Sá, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 82 minutes, Marcelinho Cardoso made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Landi's Jacinto Sá tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luisão Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jacinto Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Landi's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelinho Cardoso came free, but Jacinto Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Ivo Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Landi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivo Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atlético Lucena FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
