In the 18th minute, Gilmar Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafa Vinhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st minute Waldir da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute of the match, Lúcio Rosa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jailson Berger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, StoneHorns Soccer Club's Rafa Vinhas got control of the ball when Igor Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Raffas Sport Clube's zone, Lúcio Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Berger came out of the goal and Lúcio Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the game, StoneHorns Soccer Club's Waldir da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jailson Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. StoneHorns Soccer Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jailson Berger was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. StoneHorns Soccer Club had won after a very even match.
