Spectators: 7232 (Terracing: 5426, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Pedro Severo kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the game, Ivo Camargo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PQL F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cururupe the free kick. A collision led to PQL F.C. getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Ivo Camargo hit a great ball. When Cururupe's Gerson Palmeira in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PQL F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 7thth minute of the game João Pedro Severo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PQL F.C.'s José Maria Eger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Palmeira in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Eger saved PQL F.C. from getting behind. In the 9th minute Gerson Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Eger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César da Rocha having to interfere. Sydney de Sousa hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. César da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Leão in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of PQL F.C. booed when Cururupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Umberto Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes Cururupe got a freekick which was hit by Magno Paulista. João Pedro Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Maria Eger having to make a save. After having played for 29 minutes, Ian Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PQL F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PQL F.C.'s Sidnei Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. César da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Leão in the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidnei Leão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as João Pedro Severo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Maria Eger. That made the score 0-1 in the 53 minute of play. Ian Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César da Rocha having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrézinho Prado during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Cururupe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Prado to maneuver through the defense. Sidnei Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. César da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Umberto Baptista's late challenge caught a PQL F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Umberto Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. Sidnei Leão spun around in front of the goal 63 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Cururupe's goal. César da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Faria in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, PQL F.C.'s goalkeeper José Maria Eger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerson Palmeira. A collision led to PQL F.C. getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Dida Mendes hit a great ball. If Gerson Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Pedro Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerson Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but José Maria Eger made a huge save. Paulão Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. PQL F.C. were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Cururupe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. João Adolfo Bastos took the corner. The corner led PQL F.C.'s João Adolfo Bastos to fire away a dangerous shot which César da Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sidnei Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Sidnei Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
